Why did you do Fitness15?

Ultimately to lose weight and improve my health and fitness.  After many years of neglect and ignoring my own health it all came to a point I just wasn't happy with who I was or becoming.  As a single parent of four and working full time, I was putting everyone else's needs ahead of my own and consequently forgetting about looking after me.  I tried to find all the excuses under the sun why I was ok the way I was.... but when I had a check up with my GP my prognosis was scary and I didn't like what I was being told and if I continued on this road my health would be badly affected.

So doing Fitness15 was a no brainer for me.... I needed to lose the fat, get fit and learn to maintain my healthier lifestyle for LIFE.

How much did you lose?

When I started the programme I weighed in at 110kgs.  After my first six weeks I lost 12.5kgs.  To date, I have lost 23kgs and still losing.

How many times a week did you exercise?

I exercised 5-6 times a week, giving myself one day off.  I joined my local gym and participated in bootcamp sessions as well as group fitness i.e spin cycle, kickboxing, dance and maintained a regular weight lifting programme to tone up.

Any advice for others wanting to start the programme?

Just do it!! I would recommend this programme to anyone who is wanting to improve their health and fitness.  No one else is going to do it for you, so change your mindset and set your goals.... NO EXCUSES.    

How are you feeling on completion of the programme?

No two ways about it...... I FEEL GREAT!  My energy levels have improved, I can keep up with my boys on the playing field, I'm trying new things, playing more sports and my confidence levels have increased.  I am now training to be a personal trainer with goals to participate in my first bodybuilding competition in 2010..... so keep watching this space.
